While PCMag does not condone piracy, we can certainly understand the fan frustration that leads to it. It's no wonder many turn to alternative (and illegal) streaming methods. The NFL-controlled streaming services have irritating limitations, too. Even if your favorite team happens to be your home team, it’s still a pain to manage all the streaming services you need to watch every game. Most egregiously, it makes it prohibitively expensive for fans to consistently watch specific teams outside their home market. This strategy falters in several ways for cord cutters specifically. In other words, where you live determines which regular-season NFL games you can stream on Sunday afternoons. Why? Because the NFL distributes many game broadcasts based on a regional model. Location, location, location: That adage is somehow as important for NFL fans as it is to realtors.
